A laptop fault is assessed from the exact model, the symptom and the situation in which it appears. A dark screen, failed charging, slow Windows and shutdown under load need different tests even when the laptop is described simply as “not working”.
What is the last thing the laptop still does normally?
Send the complete model, describe the symptom and mention any files without a backup. Bring the charger normally used with the computer.

Charging, display and startup faults are separated first
A charging problem can involve the adapter, cable, connector, battery or motherboard. A dark screen can be the panel, cable, graphics output or a computer that has not completed startup. We test the relevant chain before ordering a part.
Slow or unstable operation may involve storage
If the laptop freezes while opening files, loses its SSD or starts making a new mechanical sound, important data changes the order of work. A Windows reinstall writes heavily to storage and is not the first step when the drive may be unstable.
Cooling work should follow the symptom
Loud fans, reduced performance and shutdown under load can relate to dust, a worn fan, thermal contact or software load. Temperatures and behaviour are checked together. Cleaning is not sold as a cure for every slow laptop.
Model-specific parts need exact identification
Displays, keyboards, batteries, hinges and upper cases can differ within one product family. We check the full model and surrounding damage before ordering a component. If a hinge has broken its case mounting, replacing only the hinge may not be enough.
Repair, upgrade or replacement?
A limited repair or SSD upgrade can be sensible when the rest of the laptop is sound. When several expensive faults, poor part availability or an unsupported platform are involved, file transfer and replacement may be more practical.
